Very interesting ~ and thought provoking ~ question. I didn't realize that people charged for spells. Kits, yes, that makes sense. But...like most other things....successful spellwork does take skill and talent and while some of that can be inherited, it takes training and practice, too. We pay for readings, so why not spells?

I've seen alot of sites that say they will do a spell for you for big $$$ ... who knows if they really do or not I sell kits and supplies so I can't call the kettle black but I'm wondering ....

Selling kits and supplies is a whole different issue, IMHO.
I've paid for readings and supplies, and kits....but I've never thought of purchasing a spell performed by someone else! And, as you question.... how do you know if they really do the spell on your behalf?

I agree...a different issue entirely and don't ya know I pay for supplies I've only had one reading, but I paid for that too... which I think is totally okay...I am all for keeping as much money in a witches hands as possible! LOL! I try to buy pagan made/supplied where ever I can Support your craft, ya know

I've done spells for people and got paid in barter, but have never charged or received cash money.
